Exalt

"Feed" (video)

The sun is coming up for Pale Light, the highly anticipated sophomore LP from Kitchener, ON metallic hardcore group Exalt. The follow-up to Breach False Minds will be released by New Damage Records on November 4, but the first visual from the album is here to sate the appetite of fans.

The recurring image of an axe, being dragged around a forest and chopping wood, is appropriate for the band's metallic hardcore, which is sharp as a knife but hits with a blunt force that only such a weighty implement could offer. The creepy clip for "Feed" was directed by Stephanie Mill, whose mastery of atmosphere truly drives the video. The effect of the recurring axe motif, along with the shadowy figures, hands dripping blood and layered black and white shots, results in a haunting feeling.

The group's next batch of Canadian dates are on Structures' farewell tour, alongside Obey the Brave and Villains. Check the below dates to see if the Pale Light will shine on you live in December before scrolling down to check the video, courtesy of Metal Injection.
