Washington, DC indie rock veteran Mary Timony seriously Rips on the debut album from her new band Ex Hex. It's the sort of melodic, technically proficient guitar rock that makes for great live performances, as it did on television when the group played Late Night with Seth Meyers.
The trio shredded through two songs from Rips, offering pitch-perfect renditions of album tracks "I Don't Wanna Lose" and "Hot and Cold," the latter of which was filmed exclusively for the web.
