Ex-Queens of the Stone Age Bassist Nick Oliveri Facing 15 Years in Prison Following Police Standoff
Last month, former Queens of the Stone Age/Kyuss bassist Nick Oliveri was arrested after a standoff with Los Angeles police and, eventually, a SWAT team. Now, the musician has been charged.

At the time of the incident, police found a fully loaded high-powered rifle when they searched his home. Now, TMZ reports that they also found cocaine and methamphetamines. As a result, Oliveri has been charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance with a firearm, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and one misdemeanour count of resisting, obstructing or delaying a peace officer.

As previously reported, Oliveri's neighbours called police to report a domestic disturbance allegedly unfolding between the artist and his girlfriend. When the cops arrived, Oliveri apparently wouldn't allow his girlfriend to leave. Police called a SWAT team as back-up, and a two-hour standoff took place.

If Oliveri is convicted on all counts, he will serve a maximum of 15 years in prison.
