Ex-No Gold Members Prep New 12-Inches as Pender Street Steppers

Vancouver trio No Gold ceased operations back in 2012, but the group's members are still active in the music scene. Not only did Jack Jutson just release a free mixtape, he and former No Gold bandmate Liam Butler are preparing to issue a pair of 12-inches under the name Pender Street Steppers.

One of the 12-inches contains two songs: "Openin' Up" is on the A-side, while "M Flight" is on the flip. The former track is streaming below; it's an eight-minute dance jam made up over tropical-tinged beats, chopped-up vocals and woozy chord swells. The exact release date isn't listed, but available to pre-order here.

Additionally, Pender Street Steppers have another 12-inch due out soon containing the songs "Bubble World," "Love Theme (Angelo)" and "Temple Walk." It's coming out on February 14 and is available to buy here. All three of the spaced-out electro cuts are embedded below.

Pender Street Steppers previously released these songs on the fall tape Life in the Zone. But this is the first time their music has been committed to wax.

Both records are coming out through No Gold's still-active Mood Hut umbrella.
