The wonderful Evangelicals have returned with a festive treat: a brand new Christmas single to bring out the psychedelic narcotic user in all of us. "The Last Christmas On Earth" pushes the dreary dementia the title suggests, weaving odd melodies and far out lyrical imagery for one unlikely carol.
Aside for lowering holiday spirits, the single is also being used to segue into the band's new album, The Evening Descends, the follow-up to their brilliant 2006 effort, So Gone. The album will see a January 22 release through Dead Oceans/Secretly Canadian.
