Back in January, a mysterious artist named Slingbaum detailed a three-song EP with a star-studded guestlist including Erykah Badu, D'Angelo, FKA twigs, Damon Albarn, and more. Now, A first track from the effort has arrived.
Badu and D'Angelo appear on "Behoove," which premiered over the weekend (May 23) on Gilles Peterson's BBC 6 Music radio show. You can listen here at the 1:50:55 mark.
Previously revealed credits for the Slingbaum One EP show that Marcus Strickland, Jameel Bruner, Keyon Harrold and more also contribute to "Behoove."
Slingbaum One was treated to a limited vinyl pre-order upon its announcement. The artist has now announced that a limited number of 12-inches will see release in record stores internationally.
On Instagram, the artist previously wrote of the project, "This is the result of years of work shared with the individuals listed with whom it was the greatest pleasure of my life to work with."
