Published Aug 15, 2016Whatever you did with your weekend probably wasn't nearly as impressive as the activities of Eric Clapton. After all, the celebrated blues rocker managed to catch a record-breaking salmon in an Icelandic river.
Above you'll see a picture of Clapton holding up the salmon (and, in our dreams, singing, "Lay Down, Salmy").
According to local reports [via Vulture], the captured fish was measured to be the biggest catch of the year. It required Clapton and a guide to run along the river for two and a half hours to land the beast of a fish.
Fortunately the salmon won't be spilling any tears in heaven, as the fish was released soon after it was caught. At least Clapton got to pose for the epic photo.
