Butch Vig is known to most as the drummer of Garbage, or as the producer of Nirvana's Nevermind and Smashing Pumpkins' Siamese Dream. You might not realize, however, that the guy has been trying to play music with his Madison, WI buddies Phil Davis, Franklin Lee and Peter Anderson since the '70s. After decades of delays, the quartet finally got together as the Americana-influenced Emperors of Wyoming and issued their self-titled set this past September. Now, you can check out their video for album track "Avalanche Girl."

The band are decked out in old-timey Western costumes to play their jangly tune in front of a Barnum and Bailey-styled backdrop. The video also displays who we figure is the "Avalanche Girl" in question, though she seems to have since escaped whatever dirty enclosure she once dwelled in to hang about in a house.
