Emmecosta

"Thousands of Me"

The three members of Emmecosta all hail from Italy, but these days they live in Gothenburg, and it's from their new Swedish home that they will release their debut EP, Untied. As a taste of what the EP has in store, Exclaim! is premiering the track "Thousands of Me."

The song is a mellow, sultry electro-jazz number. It sports a hip-hop-tinged beat and smooth lounge piano, which provide the foundation for soulful croons and sweetly meandering trumpet solos. In a statement about the tune, the band said, "This song was transformed into the habit and in the loving gesture that becomes habit, but it re-emerges as a force and momentum, suffering, despair, anger and malice, care and gentleness in a range of varied emotions. Emotions often muted and muffled that emerge from the abyss of a look."

Hear the premiere of the song below, and keep your eyes peeled for more information about Untied.
