Eminem proved that he had no plans to slow down when he unleashed The Marshall Mathers LP 2 single "Rap God" back in the fall of 2013. And although the six-minute track is packed with clever wordplay and rapid-fire delivery, a Chicago rapper is claiming that it's not all original material.
Raymond Jones of the rap group Hot Stylz is suing Eminem over the song, which he claims uses a 25-second clip of Hot Stylz's 2007 Yung Joc-featuring track "Lookin' Boy."
Jones is suing Em and Interscope for $8 million, according to TMZ.
As for the similarities between the two tracks, you can listen to both below. The "Rap God" segment in question begins at the 2:15 mark and definitely sounds familiar once you've listened to "Lookin' Boy."
