Eminem and Royce Da 5'9" Revive Bad Meets Evil Project for New EP

Eminem is back on top of his rap game. Despite earning somewhat lacklustre reviews, last year's Recovery was a commercial hit, shooting Marshall Mathers to the top of the charts. Now, the rapper is looking to further capitalize on his success by releasing a new EP with Royce Da 5'9".

The project is called Bad Meets Evil, and it's a revival of a collaboration that started back in the late '90. At the time, Royce lent his rhymes to the aptly titled track "Bad Meets Evil," which appeared on 1999's The Slim Shady LP. Now, the pair are reviving the project.

In a press release, Eminem explained, "Royce and I started hanging out again and inevitably that led us back into the studio. At first we were just seeing where it went without any real goal in mind, but the songs started to come together crazy, so here we are."

Royce added, "I'm excited to see this project come to fruition considering the long lapse in time between when we worked before and now. We had a blast doing it and we just hope everyone enjoys it while we're working on the 'Monster' that will be the Slaughterhouse album."

Most of the production on the new EP was handed by D12's Mr. Porter (aka Kon Artis), and it features guest appearances from Mobb Deep's Havoc, DJ Khalil and Bangladesh.

The title of the collection is still unconfirmed, but we know that it's slated for release on June 14 via Shady/Interscope.
