The Elwins Announce Canadian Tour Dates and Record Store Day Release, Unveil New Video

BY Alex HudsonPublished Apr 19, 2012

Ontario indie pop charmers the Elwins have been hard at work promoting their debut album, this year's And I Thank You, and they're keeping that campaign going with a spring tour and a new video.

The band's tour schedule is almost entirely based in their home province, but also includes an appearance in Montreal with Amos the Transparent. As for their Ontario jaunt, it includes a performance at Toronto's Phoenix Concert Theatre with Zeus and Two Hours Traffic. See the schedule below.

Scroll past the tour dates to watch the latest video from And I Thank You. The comedic clip for the sunny pop number "Are You Flying with a Different Bird?" shows members of the band's fan club spreading the word about the Elwins in Taiwan.

Lastly, the band will be playing at Soundscapes in Toronto for Record Store Day this Saturday (April 21). At the gig, they will be selling 50 handmade CDs containing a remix of the song "Behind My Eyes" plus a cover of Beyoncé's "Countdown" featuring Luke Lalonde of Born Ruffians. This RSD release will also be available as a free download through Bandcamp.
