Elvis Costello Kicks Off Live Album Series with Reissue of 1978 Toronto Show
One of the most infamous late '70s punk/new wave bootlegs is getting a proper release this fall when Elvis Costello's Live at the El Mocambo will finally see a official release via Hip-O/UMe.

The live recording of a March 6, 1978 show in Toronto, ON has become legendary for the amount of times it's been bootlegged. And while the live recording was included as a bonus disc in the 1993 Costello box set that collected his first three landmark albums, until now it's never seen wide release.

The El Mocambo live show, which includes songs from Costello's albums My Aim Is True and This Year's Model, is the first instalment in a series of live Costello albums that will be released in the next year. The series is titled The Costello Show.

In other Costello news, the first season of his Sundance Channel music/talk show Spectacle is now available on DVD.
