Published Apr 24, 2015David Letterman's remaining time as the host of The Late Show is running down, and he's making a point of booking some particularly special guests to say goodbye. Last night (April 23), Elvis Costello took to the studio's stage to deliver a pair of tunes for what marked his 27th — yes, 27th — appearance on the show.
Appropriately given that it was World Book Day, Costello ran through a medley of Nick Lowe's "When I Write the Book" and his own "Everyday I Write the Book." Armed with an acoustic guitar and backed by three-man singing group the Quills, it will definitely go down as a memorable final performance on Letterman's show.
Give it a watch below.
