Elton John has rearranged the dates for his upcoming shows in Toronto this fall to accommodate the Toronto Raptors' (a.k.a. the reigning NBA champions) home opener.

He was originally scheduled to perform at the Scotiabank Arena on October 22 and 23, but he will now play on October 23 and 24.

Dates, times and ticket for the October 23 show remain unchanged, while the October 22 show will now take place on October 24.

Tickets for the October 22 show will be honoured on October 24.

"The changed date will see the venue accommodate the Toronto Raptors' home opener, following the team winning the NBA championship in June, as mandated by the NBA," a rep for John said in a press release. "This is beyond the control of Elton John and his management team. We do apologize for any inconvenience caused by this required change."

The Raptors game will take place on October 22 at 8 p.m. ET.
