Elephant Stone Preview Sophomore LP with New Single

BY Alex HudsonPublished Sep 12, 2011

The last we heard from Elephant Stone, the Montreal psych pop peddlers were touring behind their The Glass Box EP. Now, the group have unveiled a new single ahead of their upcoming sophomore album.

The new single is called "Love the Sinner, Hate the Sin," and it's due out digitally September 20. A press release calls it "12-string guitar symphony." Luckily, you don't have to wait until the official release date to listen, and you can download the track for free at the bottom of this page. Also cheek out a fan-shot music video for the track below.

The single will come with the B-side "The Sea of Your Mind," which is a "8.5 minute psychedelic opus."

As for the group's next LP, we don't have much information about the forthcoming disc, but it's reportedly due in spring 2012. The new single is being billed as a "preview" of that disc, so don't be surprised if these songs reappear on the full-length.

This fall, Elephant Stone will play shows in Iceland, Europe, California and Montreal. See the schedule below.
