Anna Wiebe is part of a ring of serially collaborating Ontario musicians that also includes Jon Lawless and Mary Cassidy. True to form, Wiebe has made another guest appearance, this time on "Malibu" by Toronto-based electronic pop combo the Electric Environment.
The track is a bright pop cut, as MIDI-sounding pianos and classical guitars plunk over a toe-tapping drum machine. Wiebe shows up on the sunny chorus to sing a soft, peaceful melody. Throw in a bit of smooth sax and some wave effects and you've got a lovely summer tune.
