Eleanor Friedberger Unveils North American Tour with TEEN

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Mar 20, 2013

Earlier this month, Fiery Furnaces member Eleanor Friedberger announced she would be releasing her sophomore solo LP Personal Record June 4 through Merge, and now the artist has revealed tour plans to support the set.

Friedberger's upcoming show schedule kicks off in Buffalo, NY, on the album's release day, and the road trip has her up in Canada for performances at Toronto's Legendary Horseshoe Tavern on June 5 and at Vancouver's Media Club on June 11. Joining Friedberger for the full tour are Here We Go Magic offshoot TEEN, while select dates feature either Icewater or Cassandra Jenkins as the opening act. You can check the details down below.

As previously reported, the 12-song Personal Record is purportedly "a thoughtfully crafted tale of memory and place couched in the organic pop of her '70s idols," featuring love songs co-written with musician/novelist Wesley Stace (aka John Wesley Harding). You can stream first single "Stare at the Sun" in the player beneath the tour dates.
