Ever wondered what At the Drive-In would have sounded like with Björk on vocals? Meet Elad Love Affair and wonder no more. Although it's probably unfair to dismiss them with a single comparison, there's no denying the basis for such. Utilising the jagged prog-punk agit-pop of ATDI, Pere Ubu and even Gang of Four and a strong female vocalist, the six tracks on this Buffalo quintet's debut EP are as melodic as they are intricate. And fortunately for the band, they are also strong enough to carry Elad Love Affair beyond the obvious and simple-to-attach comparisons.
