El Guincho Rebrands Himself as Trances for New 12-Inch

Spanish tropical pop whiz Pablo Díaz-Reixa usually releases music under the name El Guincho, but he's now flirting with the moniker Trances, which is the name he will use to release a new 12-inch. It will be out on February 10 through John Talabot's Hivern Discs imprint.

The record consists of two cuts, with "4" on the A-side and "5" on the flip. According to XLR8R, the material on this vinyl-only release can be described as "indigenous analog jams" and "raw as fuck."

That's what the artwork looks like above.

Díaz-Reixa hasn't released a proper album as El Guincho since 2010's Pop Negro. Early in 2013, though, he released a mixtape called Trances; that was under the name El Guincho rather than the entirely separate project it now seems to be.
