Working as Run the Jewels, the rapper-producer duo of Killer Mike and El-P have become one of the most adored team-ups in recent rap history. The pair were set to release the album in full next week, but they've decided to leak it early.
When someone launched an unofficial leak of RTJ2, the duo opted to just let the official album drop in full, and you can now download the LP for free here.
In an email to fans, they shared the following statement:
We just couldn't wait another damn day longer to share RTJ2 with you.
Thank you to all the jewel runners worldwide for all your support. It means everything to us. Please enjoy the music. It was made for you.
They also tweeted about the leak:
The 11-song LP features guest appearances from Zack De La Rocha, Boots Riley, Travis Barker, Gangsta Boo and Diane Coffee. The album's official release will take place on October 28 via Mass Appeal Records.
Of course, that's not all from Run the Jewels, as the pair recently raised funds for Meow the Jewels, a cat-themed rework of the album that will feature Portishead's Geoff Barrow, Just Blaze, the Alchemist, Skywlkr, Zola Jesus, Nick Rook, Baauer, Prince Paul, Dan the Automator, the Coup's Boots and Solidified Sun.
As previously reported, Run the Jewels also have a pile of North American tour dates coming up, and you can see all those below.
