As we previously told you, progressive Danish post-rockers Efterklang recently signed with storied UK imprint 4AD. And now that they've fulfilled their previous contract with Leaf by dropping the symphonic live album Performing Parades, the band have announced the details for their 4AD debut.
Titled Magic Chairs, the record will apparently push Efterklang into new sonic territory. In a press release, the band said, "We are very proud of this record and feel that it introduces a new Efterklang sound. The songs draw inspiration from pop song structures, created and recorded with a live approach and we wanted to display every sound source clearly so that the listener can hear every ingredient of the music."

In addition to the new album, which features the cover above, the band have announced plans for an ambitious world tour. Between January and May, Efterklang will play a number of shows all over Europe and North America, including Canadian stops in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver.
