Edwyn Collins Preps 7-Inch Box Set for Record Store Day

Annual vinyl celebration Record Store Day (April 21) is just a month away, and no doubt collectors are already salivating at the oodles of limited-edition goodies about to hit store shelves. Well, you can add one more to the list, as former Orange Juice leader Edwyn Collins will deliver a career-spanning seven-inch box set for the occasion.

DIY reports that the five of the six mini-platters will focus on Collins's career between the years 1989 and 2001, including early single "Hope and Despair" (the title track to his solo debut) and his 1994 mega-smash "A Girl Like You."

The sixth vinyl slab will house two versions of new number "Down the Line," which will be featured on Collins's next studio album, previously reported to be going under the working title Understated. The A-side is presumably the spruced-up studio version of the cut, while the B-side will house the previously heard demo version. You can hear the track down below.

The package will also contain a poster comprising 192 personal photographs.

Disc One:

Hope and Despair / Ghost Of A Chance

Disc Two:

Graciously / Everything & More

Disc Three:

A Girl Like You / The Campaign For Real Rock

Disc Four:

The Magic Piper (Of Love) / No-One Waved Goodbye

Disc Five:
Johnny Teardrop / Back To The Backroom

Disc Six:

Down The Line / Down The Line (Demo Version)
