Published May 13, 2009While our comprehensive Summer Festival Guide may be hot off the presses, it was inevitable that the odd festival would slip through the cracks. Such is the case with Edmonton's totally awesome, totally independent Ghost Throats DIY Festival.
The event, which lasts two days, will take place on May 15 and 16 (in other words, this weekend), and will feature performances from Canadian post-hardcore acts like ex-Wolfnote party starters Bayonets!!! and Edmontonians Gift Eaters, alongside out-of-towners like Vancouver's Damages and Saskatoon's Black Magic Pyramid.
As the fest's promoters clearly state, the fest "will constitute two days of DIY community, discussion, activities, hangouts, and performances by the finest 'post-hardcore' bands in Western Canada." Tickets are $10 per day, and pre-purchasing details, along with the full line-up, are laid out here.
