After a fantastic 2011, the record peddlers at Editions Mego have suggested another excellent year with a batch of exciting new releases on the way. Among them is a new collection of old material from experimental master Jim O'Rourke.

Some of O'Rourke's recording sessions dating back to the mid-'90s have been collected on a new double LP called Old News No. 7. Side one and two of the record are composed of recording sessions from Chicago in 1996 and 1997. Side three was recorded live in Nagoya, Japan in April 2011, and side four was recorded in 1993 and 1994 and originally released by These Records in 1994.

Old News No. 7 will be released on February 21. The album follows a series of other recent Old News releases from O'Rourke, and can be pre-ordered here.
