Edguy

Rocket Ride

I have to admit to not being a huge fan of Edguy in general, but overall this is a decent release. It does have more of a hard rock-ish vibe, but it is still unmistakably Edguy. "Sacrifice,” the opener, is the longest and most epic of the album tracks, and a great song. "Matrix” has a really interesting techno keyboard break in it too. My main beef with the album has to do with the songs left off of it. There are a few great songs that were only on the preceding Superheroes EP. "Judas” and "Spooks” are both excellent and deserve to be on the album, while final album songs such as "Trinidad” and "Fucking with Fire” sound more like b-sides and would have been better on the EP.
