Edgefest Reveals 2012 Lineup with Death From Above 1979, Billy Talent, Silversun Pickups

Last year, Toronto's Edgefest roped in one recently reunited band when the organizers from 102.1 the Edge got A Perfect Circle to play the festival's 2011 edition. Next year, they'll have another, as they have confirmed that the 2012 instalment of the event will be headlined by Death From Above 1979.

Death from Above 1979 is one of a slew of acts who are locked in to perform at the event, which takes place on July 14 at Downsview Park. The main stage will play host to Billy Talent, Silversun Pickups, the Pack A.D., the Sheepdogs, Young the Giant, the Dirty Heads.

As for the side stage, it will feature performances from the Darcys, Said the Whale, Library Voices, the Balconies, Acres of Lions, the Coppertone, Hacienda, Indian Handcrafts and Whale Tooth.

Tickets go on sale to the public starting December 16 via Ticketmaster. Early Bird tickets will cost $39.50 while supplies last, and when these run out, standard issue tickets will cost $49.50 a pop. VIP tickets are $72.50 each, and include access to a special section at the front of the stage, exclusive food vendors, bars, restrooms, and an Edgefest T-shirt.
