Published Jan 25, 2011Having hopefully recovered from the IRS woes that forced them to cancel a U.S. tour a few years back, long-running English pop rock act Echo & the Bunnymen are ready to hit the road again this spring when they will be playing first two iconic albums in full.
Via a post on the band's website, the post-punk legends announced that their upcoming North American tour will focus solely on material from their 1980 debut Crocodiles and its 1981 follow-up Heaven Up Here. Both albums will be played back-to-back on the ten-date trip, which finds the outfit making a lone Canadian stop at Toronto's Phoenix Theatre on May 16. You can check out the rest of the dates below.
So if you were hoping to hear the band trot out classics like "The Killing Moon," off of 1984's Ocean Rain, you're probably out of luck this time around. After all, the band already did that nostalgia tour back in 2009. But this time the dates will be a perfect primer for those not familiar with Echo & the Bunnymen's earliest and equally awesome output.
