Echo and the Bunnymen Prep Expanded Vinyl Reissue of 'Crocodiles'

BY Alex HudsonPublished Jun 20, 2013

Echo and the Bunnymen reissued their 1980 debut album Crocodiles on red vinyl this past Record Store Day (April 20), and now they're getting ready to release it yet again, this time in expanded form. It's out in the UK on July 2 through Weatherbox.

This so-called Hardback Book Edition features the original Crocodiles album on the first record, while the second LP is a 10-track collection of extras. As Slicing Up Eyeballs points out, these bonus tracks are the same ones that appeared on a 2003 CD reissue — namely, a few non-album songs, early versions and the live Shine So Hard EP.

The set comes with a 16-page booklet. This is all packaged in a nifty-looking sleeve, which you can see above. It's available to pre-order from Amazon, though since it's an import, the record isn't exactly cheap.
