E-Town Concrete

When Anthrax did the I’m the Man EP a decade ago, they probably didn’t realise the impact it would have on popular music. What began as a tongue in cheek metal-meets-rap joke has turned into a whole new musical genre. And even though it’s safe to say that 90 percent of the bands that fall into said category are pretty worthless, it sure hasn’t stopped them from spreading like scabies at a Phish concert. Which brings us to E-Town Concrete. Laden with tough guy lyrics, wife beater shirts, song titles like “Justwatchastep” and a convenient built in merchandise catalogue featuring the entire E-Town fashion line-up, this is a largely forgettable and totally unoriginal venture.
