The Dutchess and the Duke Reunite for Live Shows

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jul 21, 2014

Folk unit the Dutchess and the Duke played their first show in close to four years in their native Seattle earlier this month and have now revealed that the performance wasn't just a one-off. Another pair of reunion dates have been announced, with more appearances likewise in the works.

A press release confirms that Jesse Lortz and Kimberly Morrison are back at it again, and will be heading out to play in Chicago and Milwaukee at the end of the month. The duo will be playing familiar cuts from their back catalogue and apparently have some new material to play as well. It's unclear at present if there are plans to record the new tunes. The group's last album was 2009's Sunset/Sunrise.

Lortz and Morrison had initially called it quits back in the fall of 2010, with Lortz having then put the focus on his Case Studies. That project has since issued two full-lengths, 2011's The World Is Just a Shape to Fill the Night and last year's This Is Another Life.

More concert dates will be announced soon, but you can see the group's currently confirmed schedule below.

Tour dates:

08/27 Chicago, IL - The Empty Bottle

08/28 Milwaukee, WI - Cactus Club
