Brian Borcherdt and Leon Taheny are both accomplished musicians in their own rights, as Borcherdt is a member of Holy Fuck and Taheny has worked with Owen Pallett on Final Fantasy. Together they make up the indie rock duo Dusted.
The guys stopped by our backyard this summer to record a few tracks for Exclaim! TV off their debut album, Total Dust, which arrived last month on Hand Drawn Dracula. In this clip, they perform the song "Property Lines" and Borcherdt sits atop a few old Exclaim! boxes with his guitar, amp and pedals while Taheny plays drums and simultaneously offsets the distorted sounds with effects and textures on an electric keyboard.
