Dungen Set Date for Jack White-Produced Single

BY Alex HudsonPublished Nov 9, 2010

We've already heard about Dungen's upcoming Jack White-produced single, which was previously described as "a heavy, stunning instrumental long enough to spill over both sides of a 45." Now, we have the details of the forthcoming release from the Swedish psych rockers.

This winter, White's Third Man Records will put out a seven-inch featuring A-side "Oga Nasa Mun," which translates as "Eye Nose Mouth." On the B-side will be an as-yet-untitled instrumental track (likely the one mentioned in the previous report). The songs were recorded at the Third Man studio in Nashville, TN, and the seven-inch will be released as part of the label's Blue Series.

NME lists the release date as January 24 in the UK, so that likely translates to a January 25 release date in North America.

It's been a fruitful few months for fans of both Dungen and Jack White. On September 14, Dungen released Skit I Allt via Mexican Summer, and this weekend (November 13), will embark upon a European tour. White, meanwhile, has rolled out a steady stream of new projects and just last night teamed up with Conan O'Brien on the first-ever episode of Conan.
