Native North America Compilation Celebrated with Toronto Concert
Released through Light in the Attic Records in 2014, the Grammy-nominated Native North America (Vol. 1) compilation brought together 34 recordings from twenty-five essential First Nations, Métis and Inuit artists and groups. Now, the compilation will celebrated with an evening of live performance in Toronto this August.

The "Native North America Gathering" celebration will see performances from a number of the box set's artists, including Duke Redbird, Willie Thrasher and Linda Saddleback, Willy Mitchell, Shingoose, Lawrence Martin with Vern Cheechoo, Lloyd Cheechoo, Eric Landry, Leland Bell, Brian Davey, John Angaiak and Alexis Utatnaq. Brian Wright-McLeod will serve as MC.

The event, which takes place August 8 at Toronto's Trinity-St. Paul's church, will also feature a screening of Willie Dunn's The Ballad of Crowfoot.
