Dufus

A friend of mine once fronted a band that wore pig masks to every show and wrote songs about toasters. Dufus seems a lot like that band since, I imagine, it’s really only funny if you’re good friends with the singer. Otherwise, they’re just a group of obstreperous art students whom idiots might call geniuses. This isn’t to say that front-man Seth Quankmeyer Faergolzia doesn’t have some good musical ideas; "Deepr n Love,” particularly, is surprisingly listenable, it’s just that, as his name might suggest, Faergolzia has a tendency to get over-indulgent at times. To be honest, if Dufus weren’t from New York, they wouldn’t even be on the radar.
