With a rustic Quebec setting and a largely unplugged format, this year's instalment of the annual Duckstock festival is poised to be a summer getaway for music fans from Montreal and beyond. It takes place on August 8 and 9.

The event is held on the shores of Laplante Lake, where concertgoers can camp and watch performers, including Mark Berube and the Patriotic Few, Emilie & Ogden, Fire/Works, Saxsyndrum, Holobody, Dam Ships and more. There are 17 acts in all, and they will perform across two stages.

According to an announcement, this year will see the festival "continue developing its acoustic flavour, entailing that most shows will be unplugged again." The goal is to unite Montreal's emerging acts and discover possible tour mates in a beautiful setting.
