Just over a year out from their fantastic debutone of our favourites of 2021 — South London post-punk wizards Dry Cleaning have announced their sophomore full-length Stumpwork, arriving October 21 on 4AD

And alongside the album announcement, the band has also shared brief, swift-footed new single "Don't Press Me," which comes attached to an animated video courtesy of Peter Millard.

The song clocks in at under two minutes, and it finds the band exploring a slightly softer, more spritely facet of their muscular post-punk sound. "The words in the chorus came about because I was trying to write a song to sing to my own brain," vocalist Florence Shaw said in a statement, describing the single as being about "the pleasure of gaming and the enjoyment of intense and short-lived guilt-free experiences."

Stumpwork was recorded in the same rural Wales studio as New Long Leg, and the band once again worked with producer John Parish. The album is said to expand on the band's sound, folding "furious alt-rock anthems [with] jangle pop and ambient noise."
