The Dropkick Murphys Celebrate Their Past with Vinyl Box Set

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Sep 25, 2013

Shit-kickin' Celtic punk favourites Dropkick Murphys issued their Signed and Sealed in Blood LP at the beginning of 2013 but will cap the year with a back catalogue-celebrating vinyl box set that will arrive on November 5.

A press release confirms that the band and Epitaph are teaming up to produce the limited-edition box set, which compiles all of the band's studio long-players. This includes 1998's Do or Die, 1999's The Gang's All Here, 2000's Sing Loud, Sing Proud, 2003's Blackout, 2005's The Warrior's Code, 2007's The Meanest Of Times, 2011's Going Out In Style, and a double-LP version of this year's Signed and Sealed in Blood. Also included in the box are the vinyl versions of the band's two-volume Singles Collection, which are also being pressed up in separate double-LP editions.

Limited to 2,000 copies, the collection will be preserved in a "beautiful hardbound box," which holds LPs pressed onto various colours of vinyl. Also included in the package will be a 36" x 60" "pirate" flag. Deluxe bundles will also come with a band T-shirt.

Pre-orders for the set, which include exclusive colour pressings that won't appear in stores, are being taken now via the Dropkick Murphys webshop and Epitaph.
