Dralms

"Pillars and Pyre" (video)

Black metal drumming has never seemed quite as peaceful as it does in Dralms' new video for their single "Pillars and Pyre."

In keeping with the cloudy, atmospheric vibe of the pop-rock song, the video plays out entirely in ultra-slow-motion. We see a black metal drummer, with lots of tattoos and dangerous-looking spikes on his cuffs, wailing at his kit and tossing his hair. It was directed by Dralms frontman Christopher Smith.

Interestingly, this isn't the first time Smith has used this footage for a video. Back when he released a different version of "Pillars and Pyre" under his own name, he used the same metal drummer for the visuals. Watch the new version below.
