Less than a year removed from the release of Nothing Was the Same, Canadian rap royalty Drake has already announced the name of his next album: Views from the 6.
News comes via Billboard, who reports recording hasn't yet begun in earnest, so it might be a little while before we actually hear Views from the 6. Drake's recent track "0 to 100" hinted that it might be out by next spring, since he rapped this lyric about his OVO Sound label: "We already got spring 2015 poppin' / PND droppin' / Reps-Up P droppin' / Majid Jordan droppin' / OB droppin' not to mention me droppin'."
Speaking of OVO Sound, the Warner-distributed imprint will release both Partynextdoor's album Partynextdoor Two on July 29 and Majid Jordan's EP Place Like This on July 22.
We're not entirely sure what the title refers to. Perhaps it's an allusion to Toronto's six municipalities?
