He climbed up to the top of the CN Tower on the VIEWS album cover (with some help from Photoshop), and now he's sitting atop digital streaming charts too. That's right, Drake was the most streamed artist on Spotify in 2016.

The Toronto rapper earned both the most streamed album and song; VIEWS clocked in with 2.45 billion listens, while "One Dance" alone was played 970 million times.

Rounding out the rest of the top five artists of the year were Justin Bieber, Rihanna, Twenty One Pilots and Kanye West.

After VIEWS, the most listened to albums were Bieber's Purpose, Rihanna's Anti, Twenty One Pilot's Blurryface and the Weeknd's Beauty Behind the Madness.

It's also worth noting that it's not just the 2016 records that Drizzy holds. He is Spotify's most streamed artist of all time, with this year's numbers boosting his total to a whopping 8.7 billion streams.

Drake's not even done for the year. He's expected to release his More Life playlist project at some point this month.
