Drake Starts Up on Sophomore Album, Readies R&B Mixtape

After a full summer of blaring Thank Me Later, it's safe to say we're itching for some new Drake tunes. Though the Toronto-via-Miami native hasn't quite committed to an album title or release date for his official sophomore set, the rapper admits that things are beginning to shape up.

An interview with Rap-Up reveals that the former Degrassi kid has scrapped plans to call his next album Moments, an early working title, but confirms that he has already begun working on the as-of-yet unnamed collection with producers, including Noah "40" Shebib, Boi-1da and 9th Wonder.

"I started the album," he said. "I've got some great stuff that I'm really excited about. 40's in a really great place, so he's making great beats. I started working with 9th Wonder. So, yeah, it's good. It's early though."

While there is a definite lack of details as to when this record will drop, Drake fans can assuage themselves knowing that Drizzy's R&B-flavoured mixtape, It's Never Enough, will make its way into their headphones just in time for the holidays.

It's Never Enough's first single, the TLC-sampling "I Get Lonely Too," leaked earlier this week. You can stream the smoothly sung cut below.
