Whether or not that was an intentional way to shake the media, West's retreat from the paparazzi has given him time to do what he does best: spend long hours in the studio and prepare his fifth album.
West has allegedly been hard at work in his Hawaii studio on a new album, and thanks to some leaked information from his friends, we can report some details. In a recent interview with GQ [via Nah Right], Drake mentioned that the album is called Good Ass Job, a working title that has been thrown around for a while. Drake added he's lending a hand on the record and that it "is going to be one of the best hip-hop albums in the last ten years."
Rapper Big Sean corroborated that information with a tweet, confirming that he had been working with Kanye and NO ID on the album. A-Trak tweeted that he had been helping with the recording as well, and upcoming Young Money rapper Nicki Minaj also said she might be adding some vocals.
In the meantime, a music video for the 808s & Heartbreak track "Coldest Winter" will be dropping next week.
