Dr. Dre Sued for $1.2 Million over Unpaid Studio Fees

Hip-hop legend Dr. Dre has taken a moment from collaborating with the tweenies and not putting out Detox to, well, get sued by Paramount Recording Studios.

Paramount is suing Dre for $1,220,500 for breach of contract, reports Radar. The lawsuit alleges that Dre and Aftermath Entertainment, his record label, have not paid for recording studios and services they used. They have apparently received several invoices and were supposed to have paid by July 13.

This isn't the first time Dre has ended up in the courts this year, as he sued his former record label, the notorious Death Row Records, over unpaid royalties back in February.

Considering Dre recently blamed lack of motivation for Detox delays, one positive spin on this is that it might get the legendary producer riled up enough to complete the near-mythical album.
