Dr. Dog Ink Deal with Anti- for New Full-Length, Launch U.S. Tour

Only a year after the release of Fate, laid-back Philly outfit Dr. Dog have announced they're lining up a new full-length, one that will be out on a new label. Like many other acts recently, the band are joining the ranks of Anti- for their as-yet-untitled new album, which is scheduled for release sometime next year.

Along with the new label deal, head Dr. Dog Scott McMicken promises an evolution in the band's sound, saying in the press release: "Each album we've made was the best one we could have made at the time and I don't have any regrets. But something has changed. We've never really recorded as a band before. We started as a recording project but over the years we've become a real band. We tour all the time and we have this certain place we fall into. And I think we're ready to use that as a reference point now."

However, before the group head into the studio they plan to hit the road for a pile of North American dates, with singer-songwriter/anti-folkie Jeffrey Lewis serving as the support act on several shows. And while the tour doesn't make its way to Canadian soil, here are the dates:
