For the first time in four years, Manchester's Doves are migrating to North America, where this spring they will play a series of live dates in support of their upcoming Kingdom of Rust. Among the tour stops is a show scheduled for Vancouver on May 21, as well as one in Toronto on June 1, Montreal on June 2 and several more stops in the U.S.
As previously reported, these dates will come in the wake of trio's new Kingdom of Rust album, which is due out April 7 via Astralwerks. Doves already gave fans a taste of their new record with "Jetstream," a track that the band say was their attempt at writing an imaginary song for the closing credits to Blade Runner. And as our Cam Lindsay recently wrote in his Click Hear column, they "certainly nailed the film's atmospheric immensity."
