Doug Paisley Lines Up 'Strong Feelings' Album for 2014 Release

Toronto alt-country singer Doug Paisley hasn't released a full-length since 2010's Exclaim!-approved Constant Companion, but that will change in 2014. Although details are still scarce, Paisley has a new album called Strong Feelings scheduled for release on January 21 via No Quarter Records/Warner Music Canada.

The only information we currently have comes via an Insound listing, which notes that the 10-song album was recorded at an analogue studio in Toronto. It's apparently not too much of a departure for the songwriter, but it finds him achieving a more assured and richly textured sound.

Paisley said in a statement, "It's a lot less simple and unadorned than other recordings I've made, but it's just as earnest and straightforward."

Listings confirm that it will be available in CD and LP formats.

This album follows Paisley's 2012 EP Golden Embers.
