Toronto singer-songwriter Doug Paisley impressed with his latest full-length Strong Feelings at the beginning of the year, but he's already delivering new material. He's recorded two new songs (available now through iTunes), and Exclaim.ca is proud to present the Canadian premiere of the video for "Until I Find You."
The track features Bonnie "Prince" Billy, and it's a beautifully soft, slow-burning and sombre-sounding number. The two musicians meld their voices and six-strings into a gorgeous duet that gets some visual accompaniment courtesy of artist Heather Goodchild.
You may have seen Goodchild's work in rug form on the cover of Bahama's Barchords album, but for this clip she shows off her watercolour portrait skills to create a "living painting." Things take a bit of a cloudy turn midway through, but quickly recover with the arrival of Billy and Paisley's painted faces.
Paisley will be touring across Ontario this fall, with a stop in Montreal as well. Scroll past the upcoming gigs to check out the intricately animated video for "Until I Find You" below.
