Double Experience Channel Weezer's 'Blue Album' in Their Own "Buddy Holly" Video

Ottawa nerd rock crew Double Experience recently dropped their third LP Unsaved Progress, spawning the single "So Fine." Now, though, they're sharing something a little different, offering some insight into the influences that helped shape their sound.

The band have covered Weezer's classic single "Buddy Holly," and Exclaim! is pleased to premiere its brand new accompanying video.

The clip sees the band doing their best Weezer impression, standing in front of a green screen that's, well, blue. It's a playful riff on the beloved Blue Album song and an impressive homage to Rivers Cuomo and the gang.

"Weezer helped nerdy or quirky rock bands like ourselves to find our voice," guitarist Brock Tinsley tells Exclaim! "They proved that rock and roll doesn't have to act or sound a specific way. That's the essence of our whole band."
