Despite having perhaps the worst name in punk rock, the A.K.A.s (Are Everywhere) are actually a cool band who are always looking to do interesting stuff for their fans. Not the least of which is drummer Chachi Darin offering free drum lessons on the band's upcoming Warped Tour dates.
A recent posting by Darin on the band's MySpace blog reads, in part, "[The lessons will be] a brief, fun, rogue jam open to anyone. Don't worry if you've never even picked up a pair of sticks because you'll be rocking in no time. You'll also get our brand new record and some other goodies, so it's not just a stuffy lesson." The posting asks anyone interested to reply so Darin can work out the details with everyone.
The A.K.A.s have also been using their Twitter to announce surprise appearances, secret gigs, pool parties, free downloads and other cool stuff, if that's your sort of thing.
The band's latest album, Everybody Make Some Noise!, is available on Metropolis Records.
